Sending text messages is an easy way to stay in touch with everyone in your life, from friends, to family, to work colleagues. It can also be an easier option than a phone call or email to share lists, appointment times, memos, and other information. If someone sends you a text message on your iPhone that you need to share with other people, you can simply choose to forward that message to new recipients rather than having to re-type it. Forwarding a message on your iPhone only takes a few seconds.
Now let's walk through the steps to forward messages on your iPhone.
Step 1. Tap to open the Messages app on your iPhone. The Messages home screen appears.
Step 2. Tap to open the message thread that contains the message you want to forward.
Step 3. Navigate to the particular message you want to forward. In this example, I'll forward the message that says "Good job!"
Step 4. Hold your finger against the message you want to forward. After a few seconds, an onscreen menu appears.
Step 5. Tap "More" in the list of options presented in the onscreen menu. You'll see a Forward icon appear in the lower right corner of the screen. The Forward icon looks like a right-pointing arrow.
Step 6. Tap the "Forward" icon. A New Message window will appear, with the text you chose to forward already populated in the body of the message.
Step 7. Enter the phone numbers you want to forward the message to, and make any modifications you want to make to the body of the message.
Step 8. Tap the "Send" icon. The Send icon looks like a blue circle with a white upward-pointing arrow. The message will be forwarded to your chosen recipients.
