How To Generate A New Multiplayer Minecraft Server Or Singleplayer Minecraft World Using A Seed

In this video, I will show you how to create a new Minecraft Multiplayer Server or Singleplayer World using a single level seed. Minecraft seeds are a string of values made up of character(s) that dictate an exact Minecraft world for you to play in. Using the same Minecraft seed when creating another new world, will give you exactly the same world generation.

Steps To Generate a Minecraft World/Server Using a Custom Level Seed:

Generate A Minecraft Multiplayer Server Using A Level Seed:
1. Copy your custom Minecraft level seed for the world generator
2. Generate your server.properties file by running the Minecraft server.jar file for the very first time. Never made a Minecraft Server before? Watch this video on how to make your first Minecraft Server https://youtu.be/5Yc0wPNYHgU
3. Open your server.properties file with a text editor.
4. Once open, under "online-mode=true" add "level-seed= YourCustomSeedHere" without the quotations

For example:
If your copied seed = 5387364523423380365

Enter:
level-seed=5387364523423380365

5. Save the changes you have just made to your server.properties file
6. Open eula.txt and change "eula=false" to "eula=true" without the quotations and save the changes to the eula text document
7. Run your server.jar a second time to generate your Minecraft Servers world
8. Open your Minecraft Launcher
9. Click Multiplayer
10. Click "Add Server"
11. Enter a Server Name and your Servers Address and click "Done"
12. Select your server from the multiplayer list and click "Join Server" to be taken into your custom world.

Generate A Minecraft Singleplayer World Using A Level Seed:
1. Copy your custom Minecraft level seed for the world generator
2. Open your Minecraft Launcher
3. Click Singleplayer
4. Click Create New World
5. Choose a World Name
6. Once done, click More World Options...
7. Paste your copied level seed into the seed text box
8. Click Done
9. Click Create New World to play your specified seed generated world
