How To Open File Explorer To This PC Instead Of Quick Access In Windows 10
In this video I will show you how to make Windows File Explorer open to This PC instead of Quick Access. This change will give you access to Folders and Devices & drivers instead of the quick access defaults of Frequent folders and Recent files.
Steps To Open File Explorer To This PC:
1. Open File Explorer
2. Right click on "Quick access" at the top left hand corner
3. Left click on Options
4. You will be greeted by the Folders Options window. Under the General tab, look for the option "Open File Explorer to." Click the arrow to the right hand side of this option and change "Quick access" to "This PC" from the drop down list
5. Click Apply
6. Click Ok
7. Close the File Explorer
8. Reopen file explorer and it will now open to This PC.
Congratulations, you have successfully made Windows file explorer open to This PC instead of Quick access by default.
