How To Turn Up Your Minecraft: Java Edition Brightness To The Maximum

In this video, I will show you how to how to turn up brightness/gamma in Minecraft to the maximum beyond the default limit. Increasing your brightness over the default max, allows you to see in the pitch dark and have a competitive edge in game, without having to alter the game or install any third party software.

Steps To Turn Your Minecraft Brightness/Gamma Above The Default Limit:
1. Navigate to the bottom left hand corner of your task bar and click on the search box
2. In the search box type: %appdata%
3. The best match will be the %appdata% file folder. Click "Open"
4. Double click on the .minecraft
5. Double click on the options text document
6. Edit the line "gamma:1.0" to "gamma:1000.0"
7. Click File at the top right hand corner and click Save
8. Relaunch your Minecraft Launcher and connect to your Minecraft World or Server.

Congratulations! You have successfully increased your Minecraft brightness to the maximum level.
