hey guys what's going on it's the
digital tutor here with another
step-by-step tutorial
and in today's video i'm going to be
showing you how you can go ahead and
apply
for the youtube partner program which is
actually something that's available
uh where you can actually make money
with youtube videos
so what you need to do first is come
across to your
youtube.com account make sure you're
signed in up here
and then if you click on your account
and
you want to come across to this one here
youtube studio
and once i seared it through if you look
at the menu on the left hand side you
may need to scroll down slightly
and you want to click on the tab that
says monetization
and what's going to happen is when
you're on the monetization tab
um basically it's going to you've got
these two bars here uh which are
requirements before you can get
monetized
so the first one is subscribers you need
to have a thousand subscribers
and the second one is you need 4 000
public watch hours
which are basically you get 12 months
to to do that um
you can click on this box down here
which says notify me when i'm eligible
so once you've hit both of these
you'll actually get an email saying
you're eligible to join
the youtube partner program if we just
come across
and i'm just going to type in here a
minute
uh require requirements no requirements
and it's going to give you basically a
summary of you know what you need to
join
the partner program so you need to
first of all follow all the youtube
monetization policies
so make sure you read through the
policies uh
how you make money is youtube will put
adverts on your videos
so you need to make sure that they're
classed as
friendly um for example
you know if you're putting up a lot of
fighting videos and stuff
chances are you might not get monetized
because advertisers tend to shy away
from putting their adverts on there
the second point is you need to live in
a country or region where the youtube
partner program is available
to be honest 90 of the time you would be
in a place where
you can monetize your youtube channel
it's only a couple of countries i think
that
would not be eligible but pretty much
all of them are
the third point you need to have more
than four thousand valley public watch
hours in the last 12 months
so you actually get one year uh to crock
up four thousand watch hours
uh which basically you know that that's
obviously how many people
uh not so much how many people but
how many hours of your youtube videos
have been watched
you need to have more than a thousand
subscribers
and you need to have a link adsense
account
so once you've got these requirements up
here set really the
uh four thousand watch hours and
your thousand subscribers what you can
then do is go ahead set up your adsense
account
and think that
and yeah what will happen is basically
when you've hit these two goals you'll
be able to submit your channel
uh it then goes through to get reviewed
to make sure
you're okay and you know you you meet
all the policies the criteria
the review method it normally takes
about
a week maybe two weeks um and after that
you're either gonna get
a thumbs up and you'll be monetized or
you'll get declined um but i mean to be
honest as long as you've met the
requirements
and you've read through make sure you
read the policies
when you come across here you can see
there's actually a link here
if i click that
and this is actually the monetization
policy so you won't have a look through
that first
before you get serious about monetizing
your channel because
you want to check that
your content that you're making uh
obviously matches these policies you
know
you've got a couple to read through if
you look on the right hand side these
are the ones you want to read
about monetization advertiser friendly
content so
what i briefly discussed earlier uh you
can see
you know there's things like this if
you're
producing content like this it's not
gonna
be appropriate for advertisers put their
adverts on there
so have a read through the policies get
familiar and come up with some ideas
for some content you can make and uh
