How To Install The New Minecraft Launcher From The Microsoft Store For Minecraft: Java Edition, Minecraft For Windows, And Minecraft Dungeons
In this video, I will show you how to install the new Minecraft Launcher using the Microsoft Store for all PC versions of Minecraft. The new Minecraft launcher will allow you to experience the worlds of Minecraft on PC in one launcher without the hassle or need to pick and choose a specific launcher for each PC version of the game. The new Minecraft launcher will require you to install the new Xbox app on your PC and have a Microsoft account. The new Minecraft launcher is compatible with Minecraft: Java Edition, Minecraft For Windows, And Minecraft Dungeons on PC.
Steps To Install The New Minecraft Launcher From The Microsoft Store:
1. Navigate to the bottom left hand corner of your desktop to the taskbar and left click on the Windows start icon
2. Under pinned apps, click on "Microsoft Store"
3. Once the Microsoft Store has opened click on the "Sign in" icon at the top right hand corner
4. Click "Sign in"
5. Sign in to the Microsoft Account that you own Minecraft on by entering in your log in details
6. Once signed in, at the top of the Microsoft store click on the search box and search for "Minecraft Launcher"
7. Click on the "Minecraft Launcher" by Microsoft Studios at the very top of the Microsoft Store search results
8. Click "Get"
9. Click "Install"
10. Click "Yes" for the User Account Control Prompt to allow the verified publisher "Microsoft Windows", Host Process For Windows Services app to make changes to your device
11. Close the Microsoft Store
12. Navigate again to the bottom left hand corner of your desktop to the taskbar and left click on the Magnifying glass icon to search
13. Search for "Xbox"
14. Open the Xbox app by clicking on "Open" to the right hand side
15. Once the Xbox app has opened, create a shortcut for the new Minecraft Launcher by right clicking on the new Minecraft Launcher icon to the left of the Xbox app and click "Create desktop shortcut"
16. To open the new Minecraft Launcher left click on the icon in the Xbox app and then click "Play" or double click on the new Minecraft Launcher shortcut on your desktop
17. Once the Minecraft Launcher has opened log in to your Microsoft account that you own Minecraft on
18. Click "LET'S PLAY"
19. To play your desired Minecraft version, left click on the right hand side to select and launch Minecraft: Java Edition, Minecraft For Windows, and Minecraft Dungeons
20. Once you have selected your desired version of Minecraft, click "PLAY" to start Minecraft.
