How To Allow USB Debugging On Android Devices

In this video, I will show you how to enable USB debugging on your Android device. Before you can toggle on USB debugging, you must first enable developer options on your Android device to be able to see this debugging option. In this video I will also be showing you how you can enable developer options on your Android device. Developer options allows you to configure system behaviours that help you profile and debug your app performance. USB debugging is an Android debug mode that allows Android Studio and other SDK tools to recognize your Android device when connected via USB cable to your development computer.

Steps To Enable USB Debugging On Android Devices:
1. Locate and tap on your "Settings" app
2. Scroll down until you see the "About Phone" settings option. Tap on "About Phone"
3. Scroll down to the very bottom, until you see "Build number". To enable developer options, tap the Build number option 7 times. If you have screen lock Pattern, PIN, or Password you will need to enter it to continue. Once done, you will see a notification on top of build number stating that "You are now a developer!" This notification implies that developer options is now enabled on your Android device
4. Next go back to "Settings" by tapping on the arrow at the top left hand corner
5. Tap on "System"
6. Tap on "Developer options"
7. Scroll down until you see the "Debugging" section in your developer options. Under Debugging you will see "USB debugging". To allow USB debugging, tap on the toggle to the right of the "USB debugging" developer option. Once done, USB debugging is now enabled on your Android device.

Congratulations, you have successfully enabled USB debugging on your Android device.
