Whether you are in the same house or across the world from each other, this video will show you how to let your friends join your single-player Minecraft world in Minecraft 1.15.1. So, let’s go ahead and jump right on into it.
The first step of letting your fitness join your single-player Minecraft world is figuring out if you can have your friend join your server over LAN or if you’ll need a Minecraft server. This is very easy luckily. If the person you want to join your single player world is in the same house as you, then you are going to use a LAN setup. If the friend you want to join your single player world isn’t on the same in the same house and on the same internet connection as you, you will need to start a Minecraft 1.15 server.
To start with, let’s go ahead and get started assuming that you are on the same internet connection as the friend you want to join your 1.15.1 single-player world. This is actually super easy. Just join in to your single player world, hit escape, and then, click ‘Open to LAN’. Click ‘Open to LAN’ again at the bottom of the screen.
Now, your friend will just need to open up the multiplayer tab from the Minecraft main menu, and a server LAN will pop-up. When they double click that, your friend will join right into your single-player world in Minecraft 1.15.1!
If your friend isn’t in the same house as you, you will need to start a Minecraft 1.15.1 server using our tutorial above. Once you have that, open up the ‘World’ folder on your server and delete everything. Then, open up your single-player tab in Minecraft, click on the world you want to play with your friends, click ‘edit’, and then, click ‘open world folder’. Now, select everything in this folder, select it, right-click, click ‘copy’, and then, open up your servers folder, right-click in it, and click ‘paste’. Restart your server, and when you and your friends join it, you will have your single player world installed on it!
No matter which method you use, you will spawn in with your inventory in the exact same spot that you last played in single-player Minecraft 1.15.1. Your friend will join into your world at the original spawn location that you first spawned in at. This means they can have their own unique experience on the same map as you or come check out all of the builds you have in your single-player Minecraft server themselves. They could even more into your house!
