Then, we go into actually making a Bukkit server in Minecraft 1.15.1 by creating our server folder, getting our run.bat file, agree to the EULA, and starting our server. Finally, we go over port forwarding, and how you can play Minecraft plugins with your friends in 1.15.1 on a server. So, let's go ahead and jump right on into how you can create a Bukkit server in Minecraft 1.15.1!
First and foremost, we will need to download Bukkit for Minecraft 1.15.1. You can find the officially Bukkit download link in the description above. Once you click that, it will take you to the Bukkit download page where you want to click the download button on the 1.15.1 version of #Bukkit. Then, it will take you to the download page for Bukkit 1.15.1. Click the 'craftbukkit-1.15.1.jar' link, and your download will begin right away.
Once you have 1.15.1 Bukkit downloaded, it is time to make your Bukkit server for Minecraft 1.15.1. To do this, create a new folder on your desktop titled 'Bukkit 1.15.1', and drag-and-drop the CraftBukkit file you downloaded into it. Then, open your folder, and create a new text document. In that new text document, copy the code with the amount of RAM you want on your server from the description above. Paste it in this document, and click 'file', 'save as'. Make the file name 'run.bat', and change the save type as drop-down to 'all files'.
Go back to your server folder, double-click the run.bat file. This will start your server, but it will fail and you'll see an 'EULA.txt' file appear in your #Server folder. Open that, and if you agree to the EULA, change 'EULA=false to 'EULA=true'. Now, click the 'run.bat' file again, and your Bukkit server for #Minecraft 1.15.1 will start!
At this point, you can join your server. However, to play with your friends on your Bukkit 1.15.1 server, you will need to port forward. We go over this in-depth in the video. However, you need to port forward port 25565 on the TCP and UDP protocol. Then, your friends will join your Bukkit server using your public IP address.
