How to Keep the Screen ON while Charging on Motorola Phone (NO Dimming)
2The best way to keep your Motorola phone screen ON and prevent dimming while charging is by enabling the "Stay Awake" feature in Developer Options.
This is a built-in Android feature that bypasses the normal screen timeout settings specifically when the phone is plugged in.
Steps to Enable "Stay Awake"
1. Enable Developer Options
If you haven't done so already, you first need to unlock the hidden Developer Options menu:
Go to Settings.
Scroll down and tap About phone (or About device).
Scroll down to Build number and tap it 7 times repeatedly.
You'll see a message that says, "You are now a developer!"
2. Turn On "Stay Awake"
Go back to the main Settings screen.
Look for and tap Developer options (you may need to look under System or Advanced settings first).
Scroll down until you find the option labeled Stay awake or Keep screen on when charging.
Toggle this option ON.
Your Motorola phone's screen will now stay on and not dim as long as it is connected to a charger. Be aware that keeping the screen on indefinitely can potentially cause screen burn-in (especially on OLED/AMOLED displays) and may make the device run warmer, so use this feature judiciously.
