About this video: This is our complete guide on how to make a CurseForge server allowing you to play CurseForge modpacks with your friends. To get started, you will need to download the CurseForge App as not only is that how we will download the server pack for your Minecraft Modpack, you will also need to play Minecraft using the modpack in order to join the server later on. Make sure after you get CurseForge, you will need to download the modpack you want to make a server for as well.
With the modpack downloaded, click on it on your “My Modpacks” tab. In the top right, there should be a “Download Server Pack”. For this video, we will be doing an All The Mods 10 server, but the process is similar for most modern Minecraft modpacks.
After you have the server, find it on your computer, right-click, select Extract, and click “Extract All”. All of your server files will be extracted into a new folder on your computer. Open that folder, and you will have some sort of .bat file. This could be a run.bat file or a startserver.bat file.
Double-click this Windows batch file, and your server will attempt to start. However, it won’t actually start up. Instead, the start-up will freeze. This is because you need to agree to Minecraft’s EULA. This can be done by opening the EULA file in your server folder and change eula=false to eula=true or by typing “true” or “agree” in the server’s console depending on the modpack. The options are usually outlined in the CurseForge server’s console.
Once you agree to Minecraft’s EULA, your CurseForge server will start. To join the server, play Minecraft using the CurseForge modpack you added to the server. Then, join the server with the IP address “localhost”. If you can join in, you are good to go! However, you’re friends can’t join.
To play a CurseForge modpack with your friends, you will need to port forward. There is a complete guide on how to port forward a Minecraft server, including CurseForge servers, in the description above. That will then let your friends join your server using your public IP.
With that being said, you now know how to make a CurseForge server in Minecraft! If you have any questions, let us know in the comments, and if we did help you play CurseForge mods with your friends, be sure to give this video a thumbs up and subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks
