Remapping buttons on your controller for Steam games is a useful customization feature. Here are two methods you can use to achieve this:

Using Steam’s Built-in Features:
Launch Steam in Big Picture Mode by clicking the controller-shaped “Big Picture Mode” icon at the top right corner of the Steam window1.
Enable Support for Other Gamepads if needed.

Remap Your Controller’s Buttons:
Go to Library and select the game you want to remap buttons for.
Click on Manage Game.

Under the Steam Input section, you can customize button mappings for that specific game.

Third-Party Software (reWASD):

Download and install reWASD (a controller mapping program) from their website.

Connect your gamepad to your PC.

In reWASD, create a new profile for your controller, and the configuration will be generated automatically.

Start remapping buttons according to your preferences
