How to Connect a Controller to STEAM on PC (Settings Tutorial)
Connecting a controller to Steam on your PC is straightforward. Here are the steps you can follow:
Wired Connection:
The easiest option is to grab a USB cable and connect your controller directly to your computer.
Plug the USB cable into your controller and a USB port on your PC.
Steam will automatically detect and link the controller to your account.
Wireless Connection (Bluetooth):
If you want a wireless connection, you’ll need a Bluetooth adapter or card for your PC.
Once you have Bluetooth enabled, follow these steps:
Go to your computer’s settings menu and navigate to Bluetooth & other devices.
Pair your controller by selecting it from the available devices.
Steam Controller Setup:
If you’re using a Steam Controller, you can set it up directly within Steam:
Open Steam and go to Settings from the Steam menu.
Select Controller and choose the type of controller you have from the External Gamepad settings.
Optionally, you can calibrate your controller and adjust advanced settings.
In your Steam library, right-click on the game you want to play with your controller.
Select Properties and enable Steam Input from the Controller section.
Restart your game and enjoy playing with your controller!
