How to Scan for Cable or Antenna Channels on TCL TV (Google TV)
Scanning for cable or antenna channels on a TCL Google TV is a straightforward process. Here's a step-by-step guide:
Before You Begin:
Ensure your antenna or cable is properly connected to the coaxial port (labeled "CABLE/ANT") on the back of your TV.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Access Settings: From your TV's home screen, navigate to the top right corner and select the Settings icon (a gear symbol).
Navigate to Channels: Go to Channels & Inputs and then select Channels.
Start the Scan: Choose Channel Scan.
Select Scan Type: Select to scan Automatically. This is the recommended option for a simpler experience.
Choose Tuner Mode: Under Tuner mode, select either Antenna (for over-the-air channels) or Cable (if you have a cable provider).
Choose Channel Type: Set the Channel type to Digital. You may also want to select Analog if you have older, non-digital channels.
Begin Search: Select Search or Scan. The TV will now begin scanning for available channels.
Wait for Completion: The scan may take a few minutes. A progress bar will show the progress and the number of channels found.
Finish: Once the scan is 100% complete, the TV will save the channels. You can then access them by pressing the "Live TV" button on your remote or by navigating to the TV input source.
