How to See if your Drive Partition is MBR or GPT on Windows PC for Secure Boot
There are a few straightforward ways to check if your Windows PC's drive partition is MBR or GPT. The most common method uses the Disk Management utility, which provides a graphical interface. It's important to note that Secure Boot requires a GPT partition style, as it's a feature of the UEFI firmware. MBR is used with older BIOS systems.
Using Disk Management
The Disk Management utility is the easiest way to check your partition style.
Press the Windows Key + X and select Disk Management from the menu.
In the Disk Management window, find the disk that contains your operating system (usually "Disk 0").
Right-click on the disk number on the left side of the window (where it says Disk 0).
Select Properties from the context menu.
In the Properties window, click on the Volumes tab.
Look for the Partition style field. It will display either "GUID Partition Table (GPT)" or "Master Boot Record (MBR)".
