How to Turn On TPM 2.0 For Valorant on Windows PC in Bios Menu
To enable TPM 2.0 in the BIOS for running Valorant on a Windows 10 PC (as Valorant’s anti-cheat system, Vanguard, requires TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot on Windows 11, and sometimes for optimal performance or future-proofing on Windows 10), follow these steps:
Access the BIOS/UEFI Settings:
Completely shut down your PC.
Power it on and immediately press the key to enter the BIOS/UEFI setup. Common keys are F2, F10, Del, or Esc (check your PC’s boot screen or manual for the exact key).
Press the key repeatedly during startup to ensure you enter the BIOS.
Navigate to the Security or Advanced Tab:
Use the arrow keys to navigate the BIOS/UEFI menu.
Look for a tab labeled Security, Advanced, Trusted Computing, or Peripherals (menu names vary by manufacturer, e.g., ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo).
Locate the TPM Option:
Find an option labeled Trusted Platform Module, TPM Device, TPM Support, or Security Device Support.
For Intel systems, it may be called PTT (Platform Trust Technology).
For AMD systems, it may be listed as fTPM (firmware TPM) or AMD CPU fTPM.
If disabled, it will typically show as Disabled or Off.
Enable TPM 2.0:
Select the TPM option and set it to Enabled using the provided keys (usually Enter, +/-, or as shown on-screen).
If there’s a version choice, select TPM 2.0 (some systems support both TPM 1.2 and 2.0).
For Intel systems, enable PTT if no explicit TPM option exists.
For AMD systems, enable AMD fTPM.
