How to use an App in Fullscreen on Android Phone (Settings Tutorial)
To use an app in fullscreen mode on your Android phone, you have a few options:
Immersive Mode (Without Rooting):
This method doesn’t require rooting your device.
It involves using the Android Debug Bridge (ADB) tool on your PC.
Here are the steps:
Enable USB Debugging:
Open your phone’s Settings.
Tap on “About Phone” and then tap the “Build Number” entry seven times (yes, really!).
In the “Developer Options”, enable “USB debugging”.
Install Android SDK and ADB:
If you haven’t already, install the Android Debug Bridge (ADB) on your PC.
Make sure you have the USB driver for your phone installed as well.
Find Your App’s APK Name:
Visit the Google Play Store on your desktop.
Go to “Apps” and then “My Apps” to find a list of all the Android apps you’ve installed.
Click on the app you want to set to fullscreen mode.
Apply Immersive Mode:
Use ADB to apply the command that forces the app into immersive mode.
Voilà! Your app will now run in fullscreen immersive mode1.
Built-in Fullscreen Mode (Device-Specific):
Some Android devices offer a built-in option to enable fullscreen mode for specific apps.
Here’s how to do it:
Open the app you want to enable fullscreen mode for.
Swipe up from the bottom of the screen (or use the recent apps button if you have 3-button navigation).
In the recent apps list, locate the app you want to enable fullscreen for.
Tap on it, and it should open in fullscreen mode
