Well this is nostalgic-looking. And sounding, and playing! It definitely captures the feel of an original Game Boy game in nearly every way.

Squidlit follows the squid known by that same name as he goes to a spooky castle to see what evil things are happening and save his squid village. Its story is simple, but cute all the same.

The gameplay is equally simple... It's a platformer, and you have just a jump button. Press it in the air and you'll do a short double-jump, and also shoot ink downwards. That's your attack; it's a pretty neat attack at that. It has you approaching enemies like you would in Mario, but with the goal NOT to actually land on them as you do (because that hurts you!)

What a charming little game. Maybe a bit short even for its $3 asking price...but it's just $3 too. :)
