WHAT COULD PAW-SIBLY GO- *shot*

Huh. I wasn't sure what to expect from this game. Bubsy has quite the long and...storied history.

Woolies Strike Back is definitely the best Bubsy game out there. It controls well, it's removed a lot of old problems with Bubsy like uncontrollable speed and fall damage, it looks pretty good. But...I wonder if that's a BAD thing.

See, Bubsy is as well-known as he is because his games WEREN'T good. He built an infamy; that's why he's come back after so many years, somehow. It is true that he still keeps his 'cool' personality from the old days, and still spouts plenty of endless (...so, so endless...) one-liners. But...strangely, by this game being more competent, it's also just...average. It's an average platformer. It lost that strange Bubsy charm, in a way.

There's also the matter of the price. $30 sounds reasonable on paper; this is fairly polished. But...there's only three worlds, four levels each (with each fourth level just being a boss fight). So that's 9 normal levels and 3 bosses...that's the game. You're paying $10 per short world. That's...kinda steep, don't you think?

The levels take around 2 minutes to complete if you're just running through them. If you're trying to collect everything in the levels, not get hit ever, and not die (all additional challenges the game tallies), the levels can take over 10 minutes.

If you're a die-hard Bubsy fan, pick this up. Otherwise...you might be better off passing this up. Ask yourself: What could possibly go wrong spending $30 on this? And see if the answer bothers you.
