Splatoon! Oh wait no, it's skateboarding. Wait, wait, no, it's both. Okay!
That pretty much summarizes this game. You control a disembodied skateboard in 3v3 multiplayer, and just do all the sick tricks you can - grinds, ollies, flips, all the classics~ When you complete a trick, it makes a splash of goo of your team's color, coating the ground - with a bigger splash for a bigger trick score. If your team controls more of the map, your team's timer ticks down; the first team to have their timer hit zero, wins~
It's actually a pretty fun concept. This is clearly in an early state with only three levels and a decent (but not huge) handful of boards, wheels and trucks to unlocks, but this could go pretty far. Mechanically it's very sound, I got used to the controls more quickly than most skateboarder games, but it still feels very complex and like I can do a lot of cool tricks. Easy to learn, hard to master.
The game's devs are doing an experimental activity. It's currently in a free week, downloadable to anyone. If 100k players are reached by the week's end, then that proves to the devs the game is worth developing further. (Understandable; this is a multiplayer-focused game, so a large and interested player-base is sorta important!) So if you want to see this game continuing development, go give it a play during this week!
