Hello everyone, welcome back to another Main Assembly video! In this video I move on to another set of challenges that have an entirely different scope from the previous ones. In the last challenges we had to dodge some balls, kick some balls, dodge the spinny things of doom, punt some dummies, and just in general try to survive. This new set of challenges required you to build robots capable of delivering boxes as well as dumping them into the ocean (so that's why there's so much trash in ocean). It was also imperative to not hurt any dummies (contrary to the previous challenges) but I may or may not have screwed that one up xD. I set out to build a proper forklift but shortly realized that my skill level isn't quite there yet and that it would take me quite a bit of time to make a proper one. So, I decided to go back to my FIRST Robotics roots and build something that resembles a tank with a robotic arm. I decided to try out the suction pads in order to latch onto the boxes and it ended up working really well! Certainly a sketchy way of doing it, but hey if it work it's not stupid :D Absolutely loving this game and I hope you guys are enjoying the videos! Unfortunately the Main Assembly Open Beta has now closed but I have one more video recorded so stay tuned for that!
