I Made More Than 4x On This Facebook Marketplace Video Game Lot!
With everything that has gone on in 2024, I have to admit I haven't been buying gaming stuff. To be honest I've actually sold several thousand dollars with of gear out of my collection. However, a recent Facebook Marketplace listing with items for the Nintendo Wii caught my attention. I reached out to the seller and for the low price of just $12 I picked up the following:
Wii Nunchuk: $5
Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga: $7
Summer Sports Paradise Island: $6
Wii Fit: 4$
Family Party - 30 Great Games Outdoor Fun: $5
Disney’s Think Fast: $6
AMF Bowling World Lanes: $7
Big Beach Sports: $6
City Sports: $6
Smarty Pants: $6
Wii Balance Board: $16
Total Value: $64
If you do the math, I received more that 4x the amount I spent in value for the different games and accessories. I mean just the Wii Balance Board is worth more than the cost I paid, which is pretty awesome, and this is something I will actually keep for myself.
But let’s be honest, these games are pretty much crap, except for Lego Star Wars. These are all the $5 bin games you get from Walmart or Big Lots on closeout. But even if I just dump all the games minus the Nunchuck, Balance Board, Wii Fit and Lego Star Wars for $10 I’m still ahead in this overall. I don’t think anyone will be busting my door down for these particular titles, but these are things I can throw into a lot and make a few dollars off of. And even if I get $5 each on the extra games, that’s still $35, and I am ok with that!
Have you had decent wins when game hunting on Facebook Marketplace? This, legit, is the best deal I’ve found in 2024, but I’ve also admittedly not been looking too hard. This may be something I need to reach out to Jay at Square Pegs or John Hancock and see if they want any of these to send to the other for their Bad Game Challenge. We shall see!
