Last time, we ventured from Watermia to the city of Euro. Euro is a bustling marketplace city where Will's cousin Neil's parents live. Neil hasn't seen them for three years now, so he was quite excited to see them.

It was a fairly short, chill chapter where we spent most of our time exploring Euro. About the most exciting thing to happen was... waiting in line. Luckily, I was able to cut most of that part out. Two arguing old dudes in town told us to go checkout the teapot at Mt. Kress.

They marked it on the map for us, so that means we have to go. Let's jump right on in here...

CHAPTER 12 - MT. KRESS MOUNTAIN TEMPLE

If you're unsure how to gain access to Mt. Kress, go east into the alley and then go left into the door next to the second blue-haired woman. Talk to both of the men to get Mt. Kress marked on your map.

Mt. Kress, also known as the Mountain Temple, is a fairly large area. However, we lucked out because there's no boss. That changes the vibe entirely and ensures that we won't be using any herbs frivolously in this area.

There's only one Red Jewel here, Red Jewel #35. It's located in the third area, however you'll need to enter the fourth area and loop back to the third area through a different path to access it.

Mt. Kress can be tough, because you'll more than once have to proceed to the next area before you're able to clear the area of monsters that you're currently in.

Eventually, you'll gain an item called the 'Mushroom Drops'. You'll use this item to make plants sprout and connect one vine path to the other. There are three of this item located towards the second half.

After using the last Mushroom Drops, it should take you to either the final area, or the second to last. Either way, in the last area you'll find the Teapot. You'll need to change back to Will on the way out in order to use his Spin Dash to go over a ramp.

This was my first area playing as Freedan after upgrading the Dark Friar attack and it certainly packs a punch! It kinda ruined playing as Will for me, since his attacks are much weaker.

Anyway, when you leave, we head back to Euro. If you go back to the two old arguing dudes, they confirm that it's the legit Teapot. One of them will tell you that they sense evil spirits in town and advise us to use the Teapot on people.

The Teapot will reveal if they are evil spirits. Go back to Rolek mansion and use it on Neil's mom. Neil's parents will be revealed to be spirits. Neil is quite sad and ends up staying in Euro. Pretty dark.

Kara's pig Hamlet returns! Everyone decides to head to Ankor Wat. However, you're actually heading to 'Native's Village'. Make sure to check the house on the right. A pot in there will contain Red Jewel #36.

Talk to Kara and she will head inside the house on the left. No one appears to be here, so it appears safe to rest here. They are awoken by the Natives. They all appear to be starving and living in squalor.

The laborers from Freejia had told us they came from a country that was experiencing famine. This is apparently it. Hamlet appears to understand the situation and walks into the fire to sacrifice himself! Again, pretty dark.

Make sure to talk to everyone here, as someone will mark the location of Ankor Wat, the next area. When you're ready, leave town and choose to head to Ankor Wat.

But for now, we're going to take a break!
