Illusion of Gaia - Ch. 13 - Ankor Wat
0Last time, we climbed Mt. Kress and cleared the Mountain Temple. We did so in order to snag the legendary Teapot, which can reveal if a person is in fact an evil spirit. Then much to Neil's dismay, it was revealed that Neil's parents were the evil spirits and that his parents are long dead.
If things couldn't get any darker, we ventured to the Native's Village. This is where the laborers we saw in Freejia told us they were from. It's supposedly suffering from significant famine and the people are starving. Kara was reunited with her pig Hamlet, yet he somehow decided to sacrifice himself to become food for the villagers! Weird.
Anyway, now we're off to the nearby jungle temple, Ankor Wat. Let's jump right on in...
CHAPTER 13 - ANKOR WAT
If you're unsure how to access this area, make sure to speak with all the villagers. One of them will mark Ankor Wat on the map for you. This area is large and is unfortunately crawling with tons of monsters that take some getting used to.
There is this one monster that extends its head. You'll need to hit the head with three damage while it's extended in order to first kill it. Then you can kill the body. It's very annoying.
There are a total of four Red Jewels (#37-40) in this temple. Just make sure you explore this area well and keep your eyes peeled if there's a treasure indicated on the map. You'll also gain yet another move for Freedan, the Earthquaker.
At the very top of the temple, you'll speak with a spirit who tells you to heal the petrified people in Native's village. You'll then gain the Gorgon Flower. You have to walk all the way back to the entrance and then to Native's Village. The three petrified people are in the house on the right.
Use the Gorgon Flower on each and then make sure to speak with the one in the middle. She will give you Red Jewel #41. When you're ready, speak with Kara will recommend we go to the nearby city of Dao.
But for now, let's take ourselves a break We're doing well! Only a few more areas left to conquer and just nine Red Jewels left!
