Finally! This chapter was a doozy. The Seaside Palace isn't much of a challenge. But Mu! Mu is not only a large area, but you also have to lower the water level twice. Each time you lower the water level, you gain access to a different path within the same area. So it almost like it becomes even larger! It was just insane. Plus, the boss for this area is considered one of the hardest bosses in the game.

How do I manage against all these hazards? Let's just jump right on in and you'll see for yourself...

CHAPTER 8 - SEASIDE PALACE & MU

Ok, so we last left off leaving the Sky Garden. Will's cousin Neil was able to rescue him using his airplane and the party was last seen parachuting off into the distance. In the next scene, Will is suddenly in the Seaside Palace. Here, your goal is to find the Purification Stone and throw it in a weird looking pool. This place can be tricky, but it's a piece of cake compared to the area that awaits us.

There are three Red Jewels in this area, #20, #21 and #22. So make sure to grab these before leaving. If you explore everything you should be able to find everything: the Purification Stone, as well as the key to leave. Once you exit, you'll be in a long hallway. After you walk through the exit at the end, you'll be in Mu.

Mu is a very large area with three different levels. At first you'll only have access to the top level, but by lowering the water level, you'll gain access to two more. This area can be confusing, so to make it easier, I've broken it down to a couple of bullet points.

1) Find 1st Statue of Hope and take it to 1st Room of Hope
2) Find 2nd Statue of Hope and take it to 2nd Room of Hope
3) Fine both Statues of Rama
4) Boss Fight - Jack & Silvana

While you're on the hunt for the 2nd Statue of Hope, you'll come across a Dark Space portal that has a new special ability for Will, the Psycho Slider. This is not only an attack, but can also be used defensively as well as to slide into cracks between walls.

This new ability allows you to take a short cut to the 2nd Room of Hope. Immediately after lowering the water for the second time, go south from the 2nd Room of Hope to find a chest with Red Jewel #23.

You'll also need to use the Psycho Slider to get both Statues of Rama. Once you have those, you'll essentially be proceeding to the final area. I added a note here, because I edited out the part where I backtrack to the Dark Space portal that allows you to change into Freedan.

BOSS BATTLE - JACK & SILVANA

Jack and Silvana are two vampires. They are the vampires from Seaside Palace that had captured everyone. I'm told they are among the hardest bosses in the game and I can see why. If you're fighting as Will, you're going to have a hard time fighting these guys.

Changing to Freedan will allow you to deal double the damage. You'll still have to be smart and pay attention of course, but using Freedan instead of Will makes this boss fight far easier. When you're done, Will will be reunited with the gang and they'll discuss how to leave the island of Mu.

Will was told by King Rama that there is a tunnel connecting the Mu to the mainland. The party will proceed to cross this very long tunnel, however it takes them nearly a month. When they emerge they find themselves in Angel Village.

What's gonna happen now? Not sure, but it's time to take a break!
