Twilight Masquerade is the next Main Series Pokemon Card Set which is expected to release on May 24. This Main Series Set Release marks the 7th Pokemon Card Set release we have received in the past calendar year. While Paldea Evolved may have been released a bit late, and 2 of these set releases may have been Specialty Pokemon Card sets, Pokemon continues to print and release more Pokemon Cards than they have ever released before.
The demand for Pokemon Cards has definitely fallen over the past couple of years. The release of the Scarlet and Violet Generation has produced Tera Pokemon and New Pokemon styles that a lot of Pokemon Card fans are having a hard time relating to. This lack of demand has left tons of Pokemon Card products sitting on the shelves and it seems that this trend will continue for quite some time. Allocations are also making their way out for Twilight Masquerade and it seems Booster Boxes and Booster Bundles are being allocated heavier than we have ever seen before. However, while Pokemon does seem to be printing significantly less of each product, does this actually imply a product is "short-printed?" Or are we looking at a shift in print numbers due to a lack of demand? Let's talk about it!
