Is This NEW VR Game EVER Coming Out? // Are We Still Excited For LOW FI? (Quest 3 PCVR)
550Are we still excited for Low Fi VR? At one point this was one of the most highly anticipated new VR games for the majority of VR users, with a release scheduled for PCVR and PSVR2 at some point in the (hopefully near) future its goal is to give players an escapist, neon soaked, Cyberpunk, crime fighting experience unlike anything else we currently have in VR with some of the best VR visuals we've ever seen... the only problem is it was announced nearly 6 years ago now and backers of the original Kickstarter or Itchio launches have been messing around with the relatively bare bones public build for quite some time now. Was Low Fi announced too early? Are the ambitions of the solo developer too lofty? Will we ever see a full release that lives up to the promises of the original synopsis (a massive open world game with a non linear narrative and an emphasis on exploration and discovery)? These are questions I've been thinking about lately and I wanted to gauge how the rest of the VR community was feeling about this particular game, I'm curious to hear whether your excitement for Low Fi has tapered off somewhat after waiting for so many years to get your hands on the finished product or perhaps you're happy to keep waiting for what could be the ultimate Blade Runner VR experience.
Low Fi VR has an immense amount of potential, that's why so many people backed the product in an early access state (or via the Kickstarter campaign). We can all see the vision and we all want to spend time in this world but Low Fi might also be a cautionary tale of what happens when you announce a game a little too soon. This Low Fi VR gameplay was captured on a 4090 VR ready PC with a Quest 3 connected via wired link cable. The PCVR and PSVR2 versions of Low Fi are still scheduled to launch "when it's ready".
