This NEW ALIENS VR Game is ROUGH on Quest 3! // Alien Rogue Incursion Quest 3 Gameplay
662Alien Rogue Incursion is finally here for Quest 3 users but was it worth the wait? Well, sadly, no. The Alien Rogue Incursion Quest 3 port is easily the worst way to experience this official VR Aliens experience. With low resolution visuals, a constant blue foggy hue, low draw distances, visible pop-in, no shadows and a general lack of any real atmosphere, which was the PSVR2 and PCVR versions strongest aspect, the Quest 3 version feels much more like a Quest 2 port and falls far below the high bar set by recent new Quest 3 games like Metro Awakening and Behemoth, two games that really showcase how great standalone ports can look. It's possible that Survios will improve Alien Rogue Incursion on Quest post launch, as they've done an incredible job improving the PSVR2 & PCVR versions, but the launch day experience of playing on this platform will almost certainly underwhelm and frustrate Quest 3 users. Alien Rogue Incursion is a great VR Aliens game that has only got better thanks to several large scale patches since the game launched on PSVR2 and PCVR, however this Quest 3 version feels like a cheap knock off and sadly loses any and all tension, atmosphere and excitement that the other versions managed to create.
This Alien Rogue Incursion Quest 3 gameplay / Alien Rogue Incursion Quest 3 review was captured natively on a Quest 3 and it represents the launch build of the game without any "day one patch" (as far as I am aware there is no planned day one patch). Alien Rogue Incursion is out for PCVR, PSVR2 and Quest 3, if you have access to a PC or PSVR2 then that's where I would recommend you play this game.
