663Still Wakes the Deep is a fantastic Unreal Engine 5, Lovecraftian Horror game that feels like Alien Isolation meets The Thing and it looks amazing in VR... if you have a PC good enough to run it anyway! The Still Wakes the Deep VR mod is available for free and is built using the UEVR mod as a foundation, it converts this amazing body horror walking simulator into a gorgeous VR Lovecraftian horror adventure but it is quite a challenge to run smoothly (or at high framerates) even on the most powerful modern PCs thanks to it being an Unreal Engine 5 game. However if you're happy to run it on lower settings and make some compromises you'll find an incredibly creepy and immensely unique VR horror experience that fans of The Thing or Alien Isolation will absolutely love; the whole game is set aboard an oil rig in the middle of the sea and you must race to find a way out after an incident causes alien growths to start growing throughout the facility, turning your crewmates into otherworldly monstrosities and threatening to drag you to the bottom of the ocean. During the quiet months when there aren't many new VR games / high profile new VR games I always love checking out experimental experiences like this, if you haven't tried the amazing UEVR mod yet then now is the perfect time to start.
