In the end, the nagging issues with the basic jumping, movement, and ability usage turned me quite sour on A Hat in Time. I still think it does a lot right, and I think a few minor tweaks could take the game a long way.

Also, has anyone else noticed that the entirety of the story is basically Hat Kid causing trouble (including capsizing a cruise ship) and then being praised for doing a half-assed job of cleaning it up?
