Jet Set Radio (Sega Dreamcast) Retro Review: Does It Hold Up? - NichePlays
62Released in 2000 for the Sega Dreamcast, Jet Set Radio (originally titled Jet Grind Radio in the US) is a 3D action game set in the fictional city of Tokyo-to, Japan. The game follows a gang of well-intentioned youths known as "the GG's" as they try to mark the territory of other gangs in graffiti and search for pieces to a strange record that can summon a demon. It features fast and frantic gameplay, elements of a rhythm game, and has (bar none) one of the best soundtracks to ever make it into the video game.
Since its release, the game has been followed up with a Game Boy Advance version, a sequel for the original Xbox, and has influenced games such as Insomniac's ' "Sunset Overdrive" and the upcoming Team Reptile title "Bomb Rush Cyberfunk"
