Joust (Atari 2600 version)
3This is the Atari 2600 port of one of my favorite early arcade games, Joust, which was made in 1982. This version came the year after. For the 2600, this port of Joust is rather impressive for the system, but the enemy AI and egg programming is very different and bland from the arcade (which I'm an expert on), making it tough to adapt, and is hard to survive.
Note the enemies and myself did NOT turn invisible anywhere in the gameplay. The issue is that many Atari 2600 games had sprites constantly flickering, and therefore the recording does not have enough framerate to catch it properly, unlike what I've actually seen while playing.
Fun fact: Joust is what inspired Shigeru Miyamoto to create Mario Bros.
