This is the Atari 2600 release of the 1983 Mario Bros arcade game (the title that debuted Luigi), made in the same year. If I have to say one thing about this port from the ancient '77 console, it's trash, due to two fatal flaws: the controls and hit detection.

While it looks like I'm terrible at times, I was actually trying my best. The issue is that unlike the arcade or at least the newer ports, you don't have much to control your jumps or movement, making it hard to dodge hazards or even adapt to the game. As shown at some points in the video, it is very easy to get hit and even lose lives rapidly and the fireballs show no mercy. Plus, the Freezie enemies are OP once they do their work.

I don't know if this is because of the limitations of the Atari or poor development, but it suffers like Donkey Kong did. Stick to the other versions. At least like the former, we have a legit Mario game on a non-Nintendo system predating the NES. If you're wondering why the screen is shaking, it's the emulator.
