The very definition of a weekend rental because Buddha knows you aren’t going to finish Chrono Trigger before 9 PM on a Sunday night, but this update just throws into stark contrast how gracefully the old pixel art has aged and how badly it didn’t need an update. Jump. Hit. Go right. The game is still fun but fuck, this looks like a fucking browser game from a decade old webcomic nobody reads. If your objective was to suck the nostalgia out of something mission fucking accomplished. Just play the original.
