Kaze Kiri: Ninja Action [ PC Engine ] - ( Suzu ) Intro & Gameplay
Today we're continuing the work we started with yesterday, namely making simple videos with the intro and gameplay of various games.
This is Kaze Kiri: Ninja Action
Kaze Kiri was developed by Naxat Soft in 1994.
I will just go out and say it: That Kaze Kiri was given a score of 23/40 and being called boring and unvaried and such... Is so unfair. Because this game is amazing. Yeah, sure it doesn't have much variarity but it doesn't need to. It's a beat-´em up at it's core with emphasis on speed and style along with a fantastic soundtrack.
And here's the most amazing part:
It achieves it's entire moveset, with two buttons, and a D-Pad.
You can: Slide, Back flip, Front flip, Jump kick, jump slash, throw shurikens, walk, run, duck and turn invisible / phase out ( Select button, Hold ).
That entire moveset in a modern era game would require at least 12 buttons if not more.
That is why Kaze Kiri, deserves a higher score and recognition of it's status as a fantastic game.
If you like games with intuitive controls, fun gameplay and NiNjA - Play Kaze Kiri.
