Complete launch of my custom-made part-welded Saturn V and Apollo spacecraft, from liftoff to orbit.

Unlike my previous videos, this launch of my Saturn V is in KSP version 1.2.2 (the other ones were in 1.0.5). Starting with v1.1, the changes in KSP made welding of large numbers of part models no longer practical, as excessive lag happens in the loading of craft into physics and in decoupling. This made my grand Saturn V launch tower for the most part unusable.

So, in KSP 1.2.2, I have started work on alternate launch towers, using far less welded models, i.e. simplifying them enough to reduce the lag to nothing or at least to minimize it. This is one such tower, with a simplified test swing arm as well. I'll add the other arms one-by-one to see how they much lag they produce. A working crew acess arm and elevator may be out of the question; it would be a loss, but not a critcal one.

The launch site is another one I added for KSC Switcher in my Simple Overhaul project, this one I named "Korona Bay Space Center" and is in the southern hemisphere at 14 degrees south latitude and about 122 degrees east. It was placed there so launches directly into my altered Mun's orbital plane, which has a 14 degree inclination; I also wanted a southern hemisphere launch site. :)

Audio is again the NASA feed of Apollo 8's launch, with Jack King doing the countdown.
