The latest in my part welding creations, a working launch pad for the Soyuz rocket I had made earlier. It's a simplified version of the Soyuz pad, with just the four arms that hold the rocket up and retract upon lift-off. They retract by using counterweights, just like the real thing.

The pad and arms are all part-welded, so they're just one part each; welding was done manually. The counterweights are modified stock ore tanks, with a mass of 40t each. The arms don't actually attach to the rocket, they are just for show; there is an attach node in the pad that's the real "hold down" point, with a decoupler function on it.
