So I have quite the story to tell regarding this fight. I went into this thinking I could restrict it fairly easy since I am actually really good at this fight. I did just that in the first phase and restricted it to only Kingdom Key and no other equipment. Then came the second phase. I am very much able to get through the fight fairly consistently but Rage Form... The Rage Form phase kept screwing me every time. Not only Rage Form but I had to get through the DM and it basically got the point where I was just done with this fight. I put on Hero's Origin and Cure Converters to cheese the DM and wouldn't you know it, I fail to build Counter Shield in time and then do Rage Form the DM perfectly without it... That really ticked me off... Not only that but I realized after that I didn't even have Critical Recharge on because I wasn't using magic when I started this.
Anyway the fight... The first phase is actually really easy, you just have to be careful of the walls because he recovers too fast for Magic Flash if he hits them. His attacks in this phase teleport four times and they are super telegraphed so its pretty easy to not get snagged by anything.
Now the second phase. The first thing you need to know is that after his meteor attack he always follows it up with a party attacking combo. He attacks you twice, your partners once, you again, your partners once again and then you twice. After that he chooses one of his three teleport combos. He has a fast two hit, a fast four hit and a slow four hit. Because of the slow combo, you need to roll at a very specific time after the first hit and you always need to roll to the left. You do this because in the slow combo, Xehanort teleports far to the right and by rolling to the left you will dodge his fast combos but have enough time to guard his slow one.
For Rage Form, the trick is that he gains Stagger Endurance and you need to break it to cause him to stagger. He has 7 SE and each hit of Rage Form does 1 except for the Counter which does 5 of the last hit. He has a recovery period where you can't break him after he was just broken but its still possible to catch him twice in a row.
The DM is actually not as hard to dodge as I thought but the problem is something that is completely out of your control. The clones will attack will you right before the laser fires but they have a huge amount of knockback and if you get unlucky they will shoot you all the way around the arena and into a position where you can't see or dodge the lasers. Speaking of which, the final lasers you have to time as early as humanly possible because the lasers just barely shoot faster then you can roll.
