Kingdom Hearts 3 - Luxord, Marluxia and Larxene (LV1 Critical) *No Damage*
-Gear-
Wheel of Fate (+3)
Hero's Origin (+5)
Ever After (+5)
Water Cufflink
Aero Cufflink
Yin-Yang Cufflink
Unlike the previous fight I did plan specific equipment for this fight. The combination of the Water, Aero and Yin-Yang Cufflinks are really good when paired with Wheel of Fate because Wheel of Fate has water attacks and the combo finisher of Storm Flag is considered wind. This is also one of those fights where Falling Slash works really well thanks to this fight's design.
The fight starts off in another timed phase where you can't really do much. Any damage Luxord takes here doesn't carry over so even with restarting it doesn't make a difference.
Second phase against Luxord, this fight is all about just getting to his card while avoiding Marluxia and Larxene. Interestingly enough, this is a place in the game where you actually WANT your attacks to whiff. Because of how much Revenge Value Luxord has, if you just do full combos, he will need 4 cycles to kill. However if you position yourself right, your first attack will break the card and then the second hit will whiff. This allows you to get off an additional Magic Flash he would normally escape from and allows you to kill in 3 cycles easy.
Third phase is where the real fight begins. You could try and dodge their duel DM normally but I didn't want to lose more attempts then I already do by being fancy. The easiest way to handle this phase is to simply wait for Marluxia to come to and then counter the second hit of his teleporting attack. Thanks to Falling Slash your pretty much able to combo him from any height and drop back down instantly, Highwind can do this as well. I know I am beating a dead horse by saying but guard really is unreliable with this attack, it's not super common but at least 1 out of every 10 attempts I lost due to the faulty guard. The other big killer is Mickey, he constantly lures Larxene over to you and if she does the slam below you its over.
After Marluxia that just leaves Larxene. First things first, without Marluxia her DM no longer stays grounded and she will follow you into the air. You can block this move by paying attention to her lightning trail, it turns purple when she is about to strike. After that it just comes down to waiting for her slam which you can dodge a few ways. You can either roll it or you can jump over it. Even though Larxene's bolts have infinite vertical range, she doesn't shoot a bolt straight above her so you can Doubleflight and then Falling Slash/Spear Dive on top of her.
