I was coming into this fight expecting it to suck but I was pleasantly surprised, Lich is actually pretty easy if you just pay attention. One of the big things is actually to not lock-on because it gets you stuck on the clones he spawns when he hits his Revenge Value and you want to be ready to dodge away or to air step to him. Every couple of cycles he enters a sort of "passive" phase where you can get a few combos without increasing his Revenge Value so make use of it.
One of the coolest things about this fight for me was actually watching my strategy evolve as I learned the fight more. I started by taking it slow and abusing Counter Shield and ended by going aggressive with Wheel of Fate. I also learned I can use Wheel of Fate's Waterza to clear out enemies if they get too close to the Lich.
0:00 Olympus
Very simple, there are no other enemies and its a small. You can do pretty much anything here.
1:29 The Caribbean
He gains a water spell and Vaporflies spawn now. Not much else changes.
3:03 Arendelle
This one is tricky. Lots of enemies spawn and spikes also shoot up form the ground making it dangerous to not be in the air. The Lich also follows different rules here, he doesn't just teleport away anymore. He will instead gain super armor when you hit his RV and then use circle blizzard. This is the one fight where I feel locking-on helps because you can simply dodge away and then attack him again after Blizzard ends.
4:48 Monstropolis
This one required a lot of trial and error. Fighting the Lich itself is not a problem but once he gets low, he teleports out and forces you to fight a bunch of Large Bodies. My entire goal was to have him enter the passive phase just before the HP gate and then finish him with Wrathful Flurry so he never gets a chance to summon the Large Bodies.
6:12 Toy Box
Pretty standard phase. There are a lot of enemies but the arena is so huge that can lure the Lich far away from them.
7:45 Kingdom of Corona
This is the phase that people usually struggle one. The Lich itself doesn't really attack you but rather spends the entire fight running away and this is a huge and maze-like arena. In reality, the Lich is not that hard to catch as long as your prepared to Air Step right when he runs. Waterza also helps immensely in this phase to wipe out all enemies that surround you.
9:36 San Fransokyo
And we end things off with another pretty standard phase. The Lich is super aggressive in this phase and will spam magic but if you just don't let up then it will be no different.
