https://www.patreon.com/ulillillia --- You may remember the pot scorpion as being rather slow and boring, but the situation with the pots can be used to level up very fast. When you see "TECH 1p" that means you've gained 1 experience through other means than defeating an enemy. The pot scorpion has a 99% chance to spawn (there are certain, unknown circumstances that cause the 99% spawn chance - just go back if you don't see the 4x3 grid of pots). The first pot you destroy that isn't the pot scorpion gives 1 exp. The second one gives 2, and so on until you've destroyed the 11th one that isn't the pot scorpion which gives 100 exp instead of the expected 11 (given the previous pattern). This means you get 155 exp. This also takes less than a minute to get making it way, way faster than anything until the end game. There is one contender that's just about as fast, the "Yuffie and Leon" fight at the Coliseum which gives 700 exp but takes several minutes. It's a difficult battle early on. This tactic is about as risk free as it can get and it's just as fast. If you do accidentally get the pot scorpion and the battle begins, simply zone out and reset. It can be even faster if you avoid all the munny that flies around. If I recall, it takes about 80 minutes per level via the arena method for last 40ish levels.
How to know which pot not to smash? Check to see if you can push them. Find the one that doesn't move when you attempt to push it. That's the pot scorpion. Get everything but that one and an easy 155 exp is yours... and some rare, occasional mythril stones as well. Simply return to Aladdin's House via the pole (it's the quickest) and jump out the "main street" exit window. Return to the Palace Gates and go smash the pots again. From this video, 4 rounds of this (620 exp) took 6122 frames or 3 minutes, 24.271 seconds. Of course, that's a tiny sample size, but it's enough to give you a sense on how long it takes per round, roughly 50 seconds or about 180 exp per minute. But, skip getting the munny balls, and it could very well be more around 200 exp per minute. Thus, unless you can consistently defeat Yuffie and Leon in under 3 1/2 minutes, this method is faster. This method is also available earlier.
Note: the original recording is 1920x1080. If it doesn't come out at that resolution, either wait for FB to possibly finish processing the higher resolution version or FB is capped at 1280x960 (which I know works).
Edit: apparently, upon loading the save going at it right away, it doesn't work as the spawn rate was lower. There must be a certain condition that makes it have a 99% spawn rate as I remember getting nearly 100 in a row. I do recall using the gummi ship to warp to Aladdin's House from the accessory shop in Traverse Town. Maybe that has something to do with it? Defeating enemies seems to increase the odds, but not to the point of a near-guarantee.
