Initial Status: Sora and Donald are Level 50, Goofy is Level 51.

Sora, Donald and Goofy materialize out of the computer world with their mission accomplished. Leon shows them the computer screen, which has a thank you for them. Sora decides they should access the DTD, so Leon starts to type in the computer while telling them the King is checking how everything is going in town. Leon asks what the password is, and Sora, Donald and Goofy call out their names respectively for it. It opens the dataspace, and Leon heads off to see how the town is doing. He tells Sora to get the data and copy it all down.

Sora and Goofy type in things to look for, but all the data is corrupted. Sora slams the keys in frustration, and it opens a picture of somebody. The King comes back in to see everything working, then sees the picture and says it's Ansem the Wise. Sora thinks he's joking, but the King seems most certain that the picutre is of Ansem. Sora takes him back into the study room and shows him the picutre on the wall, which he says is Ansem. However, The King never finished explaining.

While the guy in the picture is most definately the one that Sora and the others defeated, it was actually his Heartless. He wasn't truly Ansem, he just claimed that he was. Sora and the others reailze that after all that, they had just defeated an imposter.The King tells them that while he was fake, he did need to be defeated. Goofy asks what happened to the real Ansem if that one was a fake, and The King says that's what he's trying to figure out. He says that Ansem will have the answers they need to help. Sora is very lost among all this, and Goofy wonders that since a Heartless was created from the Ansem imposter, if there was a Nobody made as well. The King says yes, and that Nobody is the leader of Organization XIII. The King feels like he met that person and the leader, and it felt like the same person, but he can't remember where he met him. He says that the real Ansem would know who the imposter is, and that's why he's trying to find him.

Looking at the picture, Sora becomes angry that he was the source of all the problems, but remembers Riku and asks The King about him. He doesn't know anything, though. Sora asks about Kairi, too, and The King is shocked by the news. He realizes that though he was looking for Ansem, he lost track of the important thing, which was helping others before asking for it. He says they should look for Riku and Kairi together. Suddenly, an explosion rocks the study, so they all hurry out.

Above ground, the explosion rocked the castle gate, and now a massive flood of Heartless are marching in. In the corridors, the Heartless and Nobodies are fighting, and Malificent watches on. but then she sees Sora and the rest and commands the Heartless to attack Sora instead of the Nobodies, and the group is attacked by both at once. They dispatch all of them, and meet with the fairies again. Malificent got away, and the fairies talk among themselves, unsure which side to be on. Sora recommends they should be on Leon's side to help, since they need it. The lead fairy asks if Leon has any treasure, and Donald tells them he does have lots of it. The fairies then head off, and Donald gets a smile on his face in thinking about treasure and sets off, followed by Sora and Goofy.
