This is video #31 in my playthrough of Kingdom Hearts Re:coded for the Nintendo DS.

Previously, Data-Sora began the 30-Layer challenge at Olympus Coliseum. He made it to the save room past Layer 14. Now, he will continue the challenge.

He takes the portal to Layer 15 (time 0:20).

To the north, they meet up with ol' Hades (time 1:07). The Lord of the Dead summons up his next prize chump, the Rock Titan. This was the final boss of the 15-Layer challenge, and he can still rock your world if you're not careful.

A scene occurs after the Rock Titan is a pile of pebbles (time 3:20). Hades invites the party to go down another dozen layers or so. Challenge accepted! Fortunately, Hercules and Cloud are with Sora all the way.

Sora takes the new portal after the battle (time 4:20). In the save room, the Moogle introduces a couple of new types of licenses. The Reload-Boost-L hastens the reloading of commands. The Entrap-L makes each battle on a layer a preemptive strike. Both sound decent, but I'll stick with combat licenses.

Sora moves on to Layer 16 (time 5:04). This is the first new layer in the 30-Layer challenge. It consists of four rooms. Look out for Darkballs and Defenders.

In the northwest, there is a rare prize block containing a Blizzard Slam (time 11:01).

Sora takes the portal to Layer 17 (time 11:13). There is no save room along the way. Layer 17 consists of three rooms.

Then, Sora finds the portal to Layer 18 (time 16:23). There is no intervening save room. Layer 18 consists of one room. Look out for a Menace battle with Bandits and Fat Bandits.

Sora takes the portal (time 20:59). There is a save room along the way to Layer 19. Sora makes a Thundaga by combining a Thunder Edge and an Aero Raid.

Then, he continues on to Layer 19 (time 21:45). This layer contains three rooms.

In the eastern room, a rare prize block contains an Ice Dash (time 22:47).

Sora takes the portal to Layer 20 (time 27:25). There is no save room in between. A cutscene takes place as the group arrives. Herc gives the fellas a pep talk. Layer 20 is a large grid of eight rooms.

While battling through this layer, Sora earns a Level Up chip (time 32:43). Installing it, he jumps to Level 51.

In the west-central room, a rare prize block contains an Ice Dive command (time 38:24).

In the northwest room, a rare prize block contains a Wind Dash (time 39:22).

Sora leaves Layer 20 through the portal (time 42:07). He reaches a welcome save room. He permanently combines his Thunder Edge and Aero Raid into a Thundaga.

Next time, he will continue his slog through the 30-Layer challenge.
