I've been playing the new King's Quest game and have been enjoying it immensely. It details the previously unheard adventures of the eventual king of Daventry through the storytelling of the now aged king to his granddaughter. It retains same humour of the originals, combined with great music, storytelling and a compelling atmosphere that was made with love and care. Quirky, lighthearted and full of puns, it has throwback references and nods to the original games while telling it's own tales.

While playing the first chapter, I got to a point where I decided that I wanted to capture a few of the cutscenes between Graham and a hopeful knight-to-be that's trying to hunt down a dragons eyes. They show off both the humour of the game and a budding friendship that grows between two people who seemingly have little in common. That's to say, one of them is competent and the other is Graham.

There's no commentary from myself in this video and I've cut out all the puzzles and exploration between these cutscenes. While this means they's shown out of context, I still think they do a great job of showing a friendship blossom. They also show off a tiny snippet of what I like about this game. I don't think there's anything else left to say except, sit back and enjoy.
