Last Scenario #78 - Hilbert's Gambit
Last Scenario is a role playing game made in RPGMaker by SCF. A rather typical kind of rpg, but with enough twists and an interesting story to make the journey well worth taking.

Plenty of cutscenes in this video which begin with the team making it back to the ship. With the Lemuria up and active in the air right now on top of it going back to Condor, the choices for our crew are very limited. They'll be returning to Stonewall to discuss the next course of action with Drakovic.
As for Castor? He's gone back to Condor purely to tell King Alfred III he's no longer useful as he's searching for some kind of knowledge, the same kind that granted Tiamat her power. Hell, he even gets some of his most loyal soldiers from the Kingdom army to join him on the Lemuria.
Among those soldiers recruited onto the Lemuria is a familiar face, that of Colonel Alison. Her hard working ethics and strong sense of leadership among her peers got her promoted in record time. So much so that Flynn even recognizes her strengths and, in a private conversation with Castor, wonders if she should become the new Number Two of the Omega Team to replace Helio. Castor's answer is a clearly hearty answer of "NO!" because he still believes Helio is alive and well, surely to return to the Omega Team in due time.
That response by Castor finally seems to spark a realization in Flynn & Earp...that Castor is clearly not his usual self, especially when he's all buddy buddy with Tiamat.
Back in Stonewall, plans are being discussed with Drakovic to deal with the Lemuria. During the battle meeting, a soldier comes in to mention something very interesting...the Empire has decided to invade the Kingdom landmass and take over the town of Southbridge. A messenger is sent to the Empire to agree upon an alliance to take down the Kingdom once and for all.
The problem? That blasted airship. Luckily, Hilbert comes up with a surprisingly good plan. As we saw before when retaking Stonewall, Castor's defeat struck a major blow to his confidence, making him panic at even the slightest gust of wind. When he found the Lemuria alongside Tiamat though, it shot his confidence so high up through the roof that he was willing to backstab his own king. Clearly Castor wants Tiamat's power, but he sure wouldn't pass up a good 'ol rematch with the gang one more time.
As for where the battle should take place, it'll be in a spot where neither side can pull any fancy tricks, that of the Rosehart Bridge connecting the southern & northern portions of the Kingdom. The town of Southbridge just so happens to be right next to the bridge. It is there where the team is going to send some kind of message out to lure Castor to the bridge, ice him once more in combat, then capture the ship when its occupants come in a vain attempt to "save" Castor. Sounds like a plan eh?
More next time!
