Under the hill where we have set up our chest, we find a cave with many coal veins! Some creepers have moved into the cave as well. Later, we explore the caves in the region but some of them are far too dangerous! We also find a village that is on the border between the old and the new world generation.

We check the pork chops in our furnace before heading down the hill! Seeing a cave entrance that we had not previously noticed before, we enter to explore! However, we see a creeper walking towards us! We use the corner of a wall as a shield while we fight the creeper, just in case it explodes.

Another creeper approaches from another branch of the caves! Again, we shield ourselves with the wall, and eventually manage to take both of them out! We light up the surrounding caves, and we hear a skeleton! After slaying it, we begin to mine the coal.

The sun sets, and we head back up to our hill to sleep! We pick up our cooked pork chops before storing some spare items in the chest. Heading down to the river to collect some water, we see a solitary trader llama! It had probably spawned with the wandering trader that we saw yesterday with only one llama!

Heading down to the ocean and scooping up some water, we see some coal on the side of the hill and mine it! We find a cave entrance, and we are attacked by multiple zombies! Sustaining some damage, we take a golden carrot to restore our hunger before entering the cave.

There is an Enderman here, along with a skeleton and a zombie! It is far too dangerous for us, and we quickly run out! We return to the savannah caves to continue mining the coal. Some zombies approach us from deeper within the caves, and we slay them with our stone sword!

As we mine the coal ore, we frequently check for the presence of mobs! There are many coal veins, and it takes some time to mine them all. Having a lot of coal is essential for cave exploration though! Going further into the caves, a creeper is waiting for us!

After dealing with the creeper, we sleep for the night! We mine more coal before slaying an Enderman with the help of a two-block high ceiling! The cave goes deeper, but we are not adequately prepared to deal with monsters! We light up the more shallow parts of the cave and cautiously mine any ores that we see.

Mining some coal on the floor, it drops down into the large cavern beneath! We make use of our cobblestone blocks to help us to retrieve it. Then, we quickly leave the cave as a zombie is waiting for us below! We mine one more iron block before returning to the hill where we smelt the ore.

Using a single iron ingot, we craft a shield! It is very useful for defending against mobs in the early game. We plant down some saplings and craft an iron sword! With our new equipment, we cross the savannah to explore further.

We decide to plant down more saplings as wood is a very useful resource! We head over to the large cave entrance that we see in the distance. Shearing some wool from the sheep, we place down some torches in the cave! We mine some ore and fend off a creeper.

Looking to go deeper into the caves, we sleep for the night as the sun sets! The next day, we change our mind and decide to explore the surface instead, which would be much safer! On top of an oak tree, we spot a plains village and we get closer to visit!

As we approach the village, we notice some strange world generation where the glacier of a frozen ocean has appeared above ground on a slope! We realise that we are probably in terrain that has generated in 1.17, and the glacier was a result of the world blending.

Still, we explore the village to get to know our neighbours! We do not take anything from it as we would rather find a new village in 1.18 chunks. Walking along the coast, we investigate the glacier and find a huge cave beneath it! Wow!

The grass here looks oddly coloured, and we use the F3 debug screen to check the current biome! Indeed, we are in a frozen ocean. We spot a big waterfall and swim up to find its source! We find that we are back at the ocean ruins. Digging away a floating grass block, we end the episode!
