In this video, Mahalo expert Justin Z. briefly explains how the Mixer Brush tool can be used to achieve neat effects.

Mixer Brush Tool
---------------------------------------------------------------------

The Mixer Brush tool is brand new in Photoshop CS5 and allows you to manipulate your image as if your canvas were wet. So, when you run a brush stroke across the screen, it smears as if water were changing your image.
1. On the tool bar, click and hold the mouse on the Paint Brush button and drag all the way down to the bottom option. As you'll notice, you're given some options on the top of your workspace to customize the tool. 2. The following are options you can change with your brush:
* Size and shape
* Color (if you change the settings to include a color in your brush stroke)
* Moisture of your brush
* Wet (which determines the wetness of your canvas)
* Load (which determines how much paint is on the brush)
* Mix (which mixes the ratio between the colors on the canvas and the color of your brush)
* Flow (which will determine how smooth of a flow your brush stroke will make)

3. The shown effect can have applications limited only to the ideas you have as an artist, but it's obvious that the effect is really cool. Try it for yourself and experiment.
