In todays video we have fun with RC cars! Today we are building and reviewing the new Lego Technic Audi RS Q e-tron set #42160, with 914 pieces. This is an exciting build as I put this on the maybe list for my mother and wife to make the decision to buy it. I feared the amount of production a video such as this would entail, so that my unsure on the purchase of the car. But here we are, I know nothing of Audi’s in general, let alone an RS Q e-tron. But I think this build looks super cool and is an excellent entry to Technic RC vehicles under $200. This vehicle is app controlled, so that in itself is a super unique feature to learn. In the unboxing we find four building steps of bags, one normal sized book, and two pages of stickers making a total of 45 stickers. The build went normal as you would expect for a Technic set, halfway through I did set up the app to control it and do a test run. The second half of the build is adding the body panels and those 45 stickers. Overall, the build took around 4.5 hours to complete, and was very engaging to see how all these new to me components work together. In the review you can see the layout of the completed vehicle with all of its stickers, body panels, and angles. There are two motors stacked in the front for the front differential and steering, a control module taking 6 AA batteries in the mid section, and a final motor for the rear differential. We took it off-road to see what it could do, I would say this was mildly disappointing, but very revealing to what the vehicles capability’s are. We finally drive it off a 3 foot high surface proving my belief in Technic strength then we go back to wrap the video. I scored the set at an 79. Which I find to be incredibly far. I also super recommend this set for someone who would like to do something new with Lego. Finally I end this video off with a 4 minute segment of what would of been me setting up the prior intro I had for the video where we drive a Lamborghini into our swimming pool, put I added a fun surprise at the end of that video as well. We have the restaurant, it is in progress, it has issues and should be a good video. I have bought another building to compensate the lack of the celebration the restraint video currently brings.
