For todays build and review, we are taking on, or better put, racing into the Lego Technic McLaren Formula 1 Race Car set #42141, with 1,434 pieces. This is a set that has had my attention all year, every trip to the Lego store I considered bring this set home. Unfortunately the price of $200 was just better spent doing other projects and this never happened. Lego recently had put this set up for sale for $20 US off, and that’s when I made my decision to finally get this set. I don’t know much about F1 racing as I am a Nascar guy myself, but these open wheel race cars always had my attention. In the unboxing we find four building steps of bags, majority of them having 2 or 3 additional bags. We also find three stick sheets containing over 54 stickers, and a really decent sized instruction booklet. I lost track of my days doing other projects and only gave myself 1 day to build, film, edit, and upload, making this a challenge to complete in one day. The build took 5.5 hours, but felt like a walk in the park and was very enjoyable. I didn’t have a hard time applying the stickers, now did I have trouble building the set. In the review we go over the colors of the build, and how the stickers blend the beautiful orange and blue together. We go over all the sponsors on the race car, some are very familiar. The biggest take away from this build is the amazing suspension construction. The BAT Scored this set at a 82, but with a null of 10 for minifigures, makes it 92 total. Which really lines up with my feelings. This is one set I definitely recommend either you like F1 or not, like myself. I do end the video quickly explaining that we only need 10 more subs to hit that 400 subscriber goal, and once we hit it, I will immediately drop the celebration videos shortly after.
