Lego Technic Porsche 911 RSR! (What Is This Build Missing? Watch and Find Out!)
In todays video we build and review another great Lego Technic set. This set is the Porsche 911 RSR set #42096, with 1,580 pieces. This came out in 2019, it costs $180 US, which is about per piece average. This set was brought to fruition by my concurring so many other $180 to $200 Technic sets. So this was the last on my list of these sets you can currently buy to complete. Another reason for this build is to maybe bring inspiration to my brother to finally build his. He got this set for Christmas 2022, and still hasn’t built it yet. So hopefully this video will inspire him! Going onto the unboxing of the set we find several big bigs and several smaller bags, each bag contains no numbers. Meaning this set is one of the old school lego sets where you first sort out the pieces and then build out your set. This was an unexpected turn of events, but overall still a very exciting build. The build was completed in about 12 hours, which is only like 2 to 4 hours more then usual. I feel the lack of numbered bags and building steps did hinder us. In the review we go over every 53 stickers on the build and what they do to portray the actually car. The car had a lot of similar building technics, but definitely some techniques that seem dated with the age of the car. The car does have full independent suspension and steering from the steering wheel. The only gripe of the build is getting this black hollow tube onto the build. In total the BAT system scored an 83, which is on par with my feeling on the set. It does feel really dated, the un-numbered building system is a step back, but overall its very nice when paired with others of the same type such as the 2020 Ferrari 488 GTE set #42125, the 2022 McLaren Formula 1 set #42141, and the 2023 Peugeot 9x8 set #42156. We still need 3 more subscribers to hit that 400 subscriber goal, and once we hit it, I will immediately drop the celebration videos on a scheduled video date.
